Awesome day so far!
We went to Stampin' Up!'s manufacturing facility in Kanab, Utah. The old buildings looked like an old time western town, but the new facility is very modern and beautiful!
We got to do some "helping" and that was fun!

Most of us when to amazing performance of Mary Poppins at the Tuacahn outside theater. It was a long day, but so fun!!

Another full day at Founder's Circle! A beautiful breakfast buffet....
and check out the hospitality room..... candy and treats everywhere!
and a granola bar where we could make a jar of granola anyway we wanted!
I was invited to have lunch at Jill Olsen's house (my 2nd level upline) and it was amazing. She served a delicous salad with chicken, bacon, and feta cheese and a raspberry dressing plus shrimp bisque (sorry, no photos) and she shared some amazing project ideas that I will be implementing into my class schedule this fall.

After that, I decided to work on my make and takes. I'll share those another time, but in the meantime, here is a sneak peek of something new:
And finally, we finished off the day with the annual pajama party! I had found a cute pair of pjs at Target and someone else had the same excellent taste as me!
After our 120 card swap (I will share those another day), they served homemade ice cream sandwiches - YUM! I had the Red Velvet with Salted Caramel ice cream.
And tonight's pillow gift. I didn't know what was inside and had to get some help to figure out how to open it but even then I wasn't sure what it was, so I will wait to tell you when I know :)
Tomorrow, we travel to Kanab to tour Stampin' Up!'s manufacturing facility - can't wait!!

Woo Hoo! Her I am, in beautiful St. George, Utah at the Founder's Circle retreat! My flights from San Antonio were uneventful, just the way we like them, but I did have just a little bit of excitement at the airport. St. George is a tiny airport and we were waiting for our luggage and my bag never showed up. I asked the attendant and he said to check in at the ticket counter around the corner and they would figure out where it was. While I was waiting in line, my suitcase showed up! Apparently, it had fallen off the cart and was laying on the tarmac. No problem. Except the hotel bus had already left with everyone else. What? They left without me? Dang! So, I called the trusty, "call with problems" phone number and they apologized and said they would take care of it. I wasn't really worried because I knew that flights would be coming in all day and I could just get the next shuttle, but no,they actually turned the bus around (it had made it almost to the hotel) to pick me up. When I boarded, everyone cheered and I told that I knew that attending Founder's Circle was special, but maybe I didn't want to be that"special".

Lunch was ready for us: salad and mini chicken pot pies and a huge platter of brownies. This was a magical platter because everytime I looked at it, it was full, even though people were eating them all afternoon. And in case you were wondering, I ate only one :)
The dining room was set up beautifully for dinner. Each of us was identified on our name tags by a candy or sweet (tootsie roll, moon pie, etc). We had to find the rest of our group and then we had dinner tonight. I was a milk dud!

After dinner (and a very long day), we first timers got together and each shared what we thought allowed us to achieve this amazing trip. In most cases, by the way, "goal-setting" was it. Hmmm, I bet setting reasonable goals would work for just about anything!
It was long day, but it wasn't over yet! Pillow gifts!! This was on my bed when I made it back to my room. I'm sorry, but I can't show you what is inside because it will be in an upcoming catalog. But I will be able to show you what I do with the contents after our Make & Take session.

I made 288 swaps for Convention (6 designs, 48 of each) but when I signed up to do the swap for the Founder's Circle Retreat, I found out it was for 120 cards - all the same! That's alot of cards!
But I loved making them! And now I can't wait to share! Many thanks to Shari Fritz, one of my downline that let me CASE her beautiful creation. I changed the stamp images because I needed to use current stamps, but the rest is all Shari!
And many thanks to all of you that made it possible for me to have this great honor of being in the top 100 and having the opportunity to spend some time with the other Founder's Circle members! Without you, none of this would be possible!

Another month for the Alamo Crafts Recipe Swap. Each month, there is a theme and we take copies of our recipe plus a sample for tasting. This month, the theme was "Breads". Since I am currently on a very low-carb diet, I decided to not attend for the tasting, but I did take my recipe cards in for swapping. This is one of my favorite carb-y foods. I stamped it with images from the By the Tide stamp set (wood: 131910, clear: 129120).
