At our Leadership Conference last month, a talented and generous Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Patsy Waggoner, gave me an adorable fabric tissue holder made with Stampin' Up! fabric and of course, I had to figure out how to make them myself. She generously offered to send me the directions, but before she could even get home, my friends and I figured it out and made a dozen of them!

This week, I will be donating platelets and when I go to the blood bank, I like to take some little treats for the nurses and techs. This is what I am taking this week:
They were easy and fun to make and the hardest part is getting the first few M&M's inside (tip: a chopstick helps!).
During this time of year, the need for blood and blood products is very high. I personally chose to donate platelets because I can give more often and it doesn't affect my red blood count. I heard that 80% of people are able to donate but only 20% do (there is that 80/20 rule again!), so if you are able to donate, consider doing so. It is fairly painless, absolutely free, fast, and appreciated!
I had lunch the other day with 2 of my dearest friends, Betty and Becky. Looky what Becky brought:
Inside, there was a big Hershey bar! She used different punches and dies. So creative!
Here are the other 3 projects from my birthday party!
Shari showed us how to make this pretty ornament made with 12 squares of Designer Paper. It wasn't hard, but you do have to be patient. It looks alot prettier in person!
Cathy presented this pretty card using the "sepia" technique. Everything is in vanilla and browns; so elegant!
And finally, the last project (and my favorite, I think!) is this cute elf shoe from Bobbie! It is made from the new stocking die and some circles and incorportates the box #2 die to hold peppermints. Note: you can barely see the candy because I ate most of it!
It's not too late to make some Christmas projects yourself - I can even help!
Last Sunday, I celebrated my birthday with about 15 of my closest friends: stamp club members and fellow demostrators. Some of them brought stamping projects to make and the others brought food to eat. It was an awesome day and everyone is still talking about it! Today I want to share three of the projects that we made, and in a day or so, I will share the other 3.
Lori showed us how to make this adorable birthday card. She said that got the idea from a gift bag that she saw and saw how it could be easily adapted for a card. The flames are made by punching the wings from the Bird Builder punch and sponging one edge. How cute!
June brought the supplies to make this recipe card/place card/ greeting card holder. It could be used for any of those! She used an iced tea bottle for the base, filled with pinto beans or split peas or rice, and glued a "steel dome card holder" from a restaurant supply store to the top. So creative!
And finally, Alicia shared the supplies to make this cheerful Christmas card! The circle punch-out makes a delightful surprise, don't you think? And the use of punches makes this card quick and easy! Love it!

July 1st is when the new Idea Book & Catalog is available to order from and we ALL love new products! And once again, I have to tell you that this catalog is even better than last year's. The colors on the catalog are gorgeous, the samples are awe-inspiring, the products are fantastic!
Here is a sample to get you started. When I went on the Alaskan Cruise (compliments of Stampin' Up!), they gave us this adorable new stamp set called Sweets for the Sweet (wood mount: 122510 or clear mount: 122512). The "drink umbrella" has been used as a beach umbrella to decorate this adorable little book that can be used as an album, a gift book, a journal, anything!
